Restylane

Restylane is a cosmetic dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance that exists in the human body and is used to provide volume and fullness to the skin. Restylane is the answer to long lasting wrinkle correction, with average results lasting six months or longer. Restylane adds volume to the tissue, thereby restoring the skin contour or enhance the lips to the desired level of correction.

Facial wrinkles and creases begin to appear as the underlying collagen and elastin fibers begin to break down and wear out. Creams can moisturize or exfoliate the surface of the skin, but they can't diminish the lines or wrinkles that are caused by the wearing away of the underlying collagen support layer.

Restylane is injected and is sometimes referred to as a "lunchtime" procedure. It usually takes less than twenty minutes of your time. Restylane Injections are a nonsurgical procedure, which replenish the skin's natural collagen support layer, smoothing facial lines, wrinkles, and most types of scars. We can also improve the appearance of deeper frown lines and nasolabial furrows. With Restylane injections, aging lips can be rejuventated and less full lips can be enhanced. This filler has a natural feel and is soft and pliable.

Restylane injections are relatively painless, but we can give local anesthesia to more sensitive patients. It is injected under your skin or lips, beneath the wrinkle, through a tiny needle. Several injections may be required, depending on the depth and length of the wrinkles.
